Clovis Community College Art Exhibitions: November 2024: Neglattention

Exhibit information

"In Neglattention, I reflect on my personal experience of distraction in nature—how I’m often captivated by its immediate beauty, but when I truly pause and look deeper, I begin to notice the quiet damage all around me. My vibrant works in “Attention” represent the pull of nature, demanding focus with their overstimulating sights, while the torn landscapes of “Neglect” capture the unraveling terrains that are so easily overlooked. This series is a personal exploration of how looking beyond the surface, nature’s fragility and neglect reveal themselves, calling for deeper care and connection." - Natalie Smith
