November is
National Native American
Heritage Month

This guide presents physical and electronic resources offered by the Clovis Community College Library and beyond that spotlight Native American heritage, history, and contributions to society.

Years before the first resolution passed to declare the month of November as Native American Heritage Month, several presidential proclamations were made to highlight Native Americans. In 1990, President George H. W. Bush made the official proclamation which stated that November would be Native American Heritage Month in the United States.
